Good luck selling 80,000 tickets next year. This was a very average show. They really didn't do anything to make it seem special.

I don't understand why Tony felt the need to go full Hulk Hogan and claim this is "worldwide record" for paid attendance to an event.

Really good show. My only complaint was Jim Ross. I hope Tony Khan fires him. He talks way too much and it’s nothing but generalized nothingness. The announce team should be Kevin Kelly, Nigel, and Tazz.

As for the matches, they weee fine but the booking was too obvious with no surprises. I don’t know how many times they can go to the “hug it out” well beteeen MJF/Cole before fans get sick of it. Their cheesy gimmicks are fun but there’s diminishing returns the longer you use them.

Should have had Punk/Wardlow attach MJF at the end of the show just to plant a hook for Dynamite and next weeks PPV

It's clear Jim Ross has lost a step. Either he's not a fan of the product, too old, or both, he just sounds bored.

Let him have whatever role he wants backstage and bring him out for the big main events.

I think the main problem with Jim Ross is in his prime he was a PBP guy. Trying to make. a PBP guy into a color commentator hardly ever works. And he also has this old curmudgeon voice that I don’t think goes with the AEW product.

I think Nigel/Tazz are both very good.. And Kelly or Ricabonni are excellent on PBP. I don’t see much point in JR or Excalibur. Excalibur at least doesn’t annoy me. But both Kelly/Ricabonni are both way better than him at PBP. With JR I literally want him to stop talking.

I think Tony keeps JR around bc he’s a famous name in wrestling but they don’t need him anymore. At least not on air. I’m sure he’s valuable behind the scenes but he should not be an on air personality anymore.
