Avoid businesses that have new shiny offices which they are likely paying a huge note on, instead prefer older established ones. Auto mechanic is another one.

I remember moving and having to find a dentist (nearly 15 years ago). I go to a guy and place has brand new fancy TVs, vibrating chair, and bunch of other stuff really not needed. So I think: Ultimately who is paying for all this crap? Sure enough his prices were nuts. Went to a new place and no fancy crap. Stayed with the second guy for years
