Ads on podcasts that randomly cut in

Why do the ads have to cut in mid-sentence? Can they not do an ad like after a segment or something? Shits out of control. They’re so damn obnoxious and loud.

Sometimes when I try to skip the ads on Spotify it starts a new podcast and I have to find where i just was on the other podcast as it's now marked as "listened"

Like I get it. There has to be ads. That’s part of the game but they need to be reasonable with it. People are gonna skip it regardless.

A lot of podcasts are poorly produced, so I'd imagine that is why.

The blame for that goes to whatever podcast group/company they are with. The actual show doesn't have much, if any say, in which ads get placed on their show(s) or when those ads get played during an episode.
Chad Daniels and Cy Amundson do the Middle of Somewhere podcast. They have announced that they are leaving their podcast group for that very reason. They'll be independent now, like they were when they began, and handle their own ads and have complete control. It is a point of contention for many podcasters lately.
