He was on SAS basically pimping a new book him and his wife is releasing. His wife has the story with her husband dying in 911 etc. Book is basically about her strength and dealing with this and that the whole 9 yards.

But what i found fascinating was Schefty mentioned that he keeps a daily journal that goes back to 1990. I mean that is dang near 3 decades worth of journals and writing he keeps. Something about that is just extremely strange yet mind boggling. Especially someone like Schefty who has such a crazy and busy life with his job basically being 24/7.

I mean I don't understand the point. Are you making journals that you want relayed to your kids. DO you really go back and revisit these journal entries. Were they meant for sharing? It's almost a big pompous that you think your journals are even worth writing and sharing.

In schefty's case, it was brilliant because a lot of his work, he just went back to his journal entries during certain time periods of his life for the editors to use in the book.

Writing stuff down helps you remember better.

Seems important in his business.

i guess leads me to wonder, is he writing thoughts and information learned about people or is he just journaling his personal life.

Is he using his journals on the business side of his life to control F and recall anything about a certain player or person in the business?

Probably something cool to have in the future for his kids or grandkids.

I think it would be very interesting to be able to read a journal of some of my grandparents days

Not surprised you shite all over this though. You seem to be one or maybe two levels above a retard

i'm in no way shitting on it. i said i find it fascinating. I in no way would have the dedication and time consumption to be able to do such thing. i'm just trying to understand the thought and motivation behind it.

Would it be out of line to make an Anne Frank joke in this thread?

Him talking about his wife and honoring her dead husband and all just seemed pretty Beta to me. Like he is married to this chick, but she is still married to her late husband and he is just filling in.

I think she will always be married to her former husband.

Something he has to live with. Most men can't be man enough to live that way.

Some of the most brilliant minds kept journals. Einstein, Marie Curie, Mark Twain, Charles Darwin, Edison, da Vinci, Julius Caesar, Ronald Reagan, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, etc. and many more kept journals. Hell, I’d bet damn near anything that a lot of the CEOs of major companies keep journals.
