Active shooter in Collierville, Tn at a Kroger

Supposedly there were 15-30 shots. Don’t know about injuries. 70 cops have been called even some from Germantown were in scene

At the time the call goes out, they don’t have the benefit of knowing how bad it is, how many involved, etc. An active shooter will get the response of every available officer from every department within the area. Better to overwhelmingly respond than risk additional casualties because only a few show up and have to deal with a situation that needed more bodies.

I imagine the extra force goes a long way to secure scene, managing traffic, assisting with school dismissals.
