Turns out it was a 30 something y/o prior green beret gone pj dropout that was getting his discharge papers.

Story reminds me of several years ago when a BN CDR in 525th MI BDE was killed by one of his Soldiers during a Friday safety brief. I had done manifest call and pre-jump at the same exact location several weeks before.

I did laser safety trng for the 21/24 STS when I was at Pope. Was in 2000 so just before you were there. Did a radiation survey at JSOC that year as well.

Worked air Evac at pope for 4 years. Had several buddies in the 21st and 24th
