Maybe you never have. I'll take your word for it.

But many others have.

that isn’t at all what I said. So don’t note it. If it were that easy, we wouldn’t be having this discussion.

Ok, then “Christian” isn’t defined by the body that is Catholic dogma.

Then please define “Christian”.

Why would atheists "try to confuse people"?

For some reason, they can’t stand the idea that others would find solace in God.

Have you honestly had Christians tell you that you were going to go to hell and tell you there was nothing you could do about it and walk away ?

Not only has that happened, but I've had Christians tell me to "go to hell."

doesn’t that mean that a belief in the trinity is not fundamental to calling oneself a Christian?

There are some that don’t believe in the Trinity, and I suppose, could still be considered Christians, but it’s certainly not a traditional view.

I just meant that you have asked several questions about the same thing, and I'm unfortunately not smart enough to give you the answers you're looking for.

I don't believe anyone here disagreed with that, as both Catholics and Prosteants belive in the Holy Trinity.

So, you're saying you belive that, but why is it necessary?

It is honestly far less complicated than the cult you mentioned

You're referring to Buddhism as a cult, but a religion that believes a virgin got pregnant is not?

Who cares. All that matters is how a person is in their relationship right? Doctrine of man be damned

You’re only partly correct . The word of God in the Bible is the whole truth . Religion can have major flaws but Gid is perfect and so is his word

other Christian religions are based off of Catholic dogma. Especially the dogma that was accepted at the time of the splinter.

The teaching of the Trinity is a dogma. Which trying to understand it split the eastern and western Catholic Churches.

All I said was the Catholics were the original Christians. I’m not accusing anyone of not being a Christian. But there wouldn’t be Christianity or Christian dogma without the Catholic Church.

There are a lot of teachings of the Catholic Church that aren’t accepted, it’s not up to us to judge who gets saved or not.

I completely agree that it’s not the traditional view. I was simply countering the assertion that one must be a trinitarian to be a Christian

That is not the case, at least not with me.

I don't care how you find solace.

Just don't try to force your beliefs upon me.
