I would respond but I don't want one of the people who already posted to begin crying to the admins that I posted on the same thread that she did thinking I was stalking her

Hopefully the fricking jet loses cabin pressure at 30K feet

I'm probably one of the few people here who has exited a plane using the slide.

In retrospect, the coolest thing was watching the huge airport fire trucks straight line it to the plane (there was no fire, we had a nose gear collapse and ran past the end of the runway). Barbed wire fence? They just mowed right through it.

Out of curiosity - training or did you have to bail out (in the generic sense, obviously LOL) (and if so, what were the circumstances)?

Dad was in on the ride when the Marines were doing some tests on how well the Grumman Albatross would land in heavy seas. The answer was "not well." The plane flipped over (while landing), no one hurt.

I talked to a guy that used to fly those(Albatross) for the Coast Guard, was telling me about a rescue they had to make about 50 miles off the coast of San Diego, weather was too bad to fly, way to bad for a water landing so they high speed water taxied out and made the rescue

Checking in, although the plane was in the Delta simulation building.
