I went through that process a couple weeks ago.

It’s an interesting process.

I got dismissed because I own a business that cannot function in my absence.

Probably be in person for half a day first day and then phone call in to see if you need to go in the next couple days.

Idk why they don’t just choose all the non working EBT ppl to be selected? They literally have nothing better to do

You want these people deciding what's in the best interest of setting precedents in your state or municipality?

Have they relaxed the dress code? Jeans are allowed? I ask this to ask, if I wear jeans does that make me more or less likely to be picked?

I fully intend on being VERY opinionated on any surveys.

Slacks or jeans? Not asking what’s proper and less trashy. Slacks are the obvious answer. I only ask in the interest of getting sent home.

You would have to go really low to get singled out for "trashy" appearance...

One story to share that might give you some ideas. A few yrs back I was in the EBR jury pool and got sent to the courtroom for jury selection. I was Juror #1 in the box at that time. The case was a "he said she said" aggravated rape case with no witnesses for a former boyfriend/girlfriend. The young accused man was a 20ish black male of avg size. The plaintiff was not present at this time.

The mandatory sentence for this crime in LA is mandatory life in prison so the DA's were asking the jurors if we could convict in this scenario. Many of us were unsure and few almost none of us were released. Then they got to this 70+ yr old black man and they asked him about the case and he started quote bible scripture about the woman submitting to the man and his wishes... He was gone before he stopped talking.

What not to do... The woman next to me was a mad bitch school teacher who was sitting there in the jury box grading papersand just emitting hostile karma. She told the judge she was too busy, had more important school stuff to do, and could not afford to be out of the classroom. Judge told her sit back and STFU.

So not to leave you hanging but we finished the day still in jury selection and questioning and told to return the next day for round 2. When we came back the next day all parties had agreed to a continuence and we were free to go!

I'm 48 and just got my first summons a few months ago. I went and never even got in the pool to be eliminated. There were like 120 of us there and they only needed 115 and had a lottery.

Does it really matter? 9/10 they’re guilty.

And I guess there’s never paid judges or corroded ones for that matter? Despise me. I’m never serving…
