No.

Most of us are tired of the hypocrisy from religious ppl. The same who call for prayer are the same to judge and think of others as less than.

How about just say something about being positive or telling someone keep your head up, keep life moving. We are tired of the wasteful praying.

I think you are misunderstanding how physics works.

Funny thing...being one of the most religiously devout people I've ever known didn't stop my grandmother from being murdered. But you keep on praying - it's gonna work this time.

Some people find comfort in prayer, others find comfort in being a dick. Different strokes I guess.

It never fails. Prayer thread gets started on the OT. Thread gets derailed by miserable fricks who feel the need to shite on OP and his beliefs

I do understand how humans work. If you're anything like your e-persona, I'll send some positive energy your way. Being a negative dick must be miserable.

I don't believe in God myself, but the last thing we need is more division. If praying helps people get through tough times, then why ridicule that?

The exact way I feel. Life can be tough, if someone has something that gets them through, it's a positive.

Tell God to put a stop to it.

People that study the bible and believe in God know that there is this thing called free will. This means that the Godly and the un-Godly make their own decisions. The decisions of one effects the other be they right or wrong and rain falls on the Godly and the un-Godly.

People have asked why a loving God would allow the children of some foreign country to suffer. Well, murder, rape, robbery and such is the work of men of free will.

If you want to see what God's will actually is you must see into the heaven we believe exists.

I ask God for this madness to stop. Ultimately though I believe the will of men will be done. May the God of my fathers have mercy on us and turn the minds of man toward peace.

Based on what I see around me and predictions in the bible I do not think we will see that peace.

Even so the bible instructs me to pray.

Where does disease fit into this "free will" argument?

The almighty has the ability to put an end to human suffering but he doesn't because...

Isn't there actually a big division in this belief among people who study the bible? Calvinism makes a lot of sense

We haven't made it that far yet. I don't mind religion really, just so its kept out of politics and not preached to me.

Morals are more of a part of politics today than ever. See the SJWs and the social justice movement.

The progressives have become the moral majority.

I'm fully aware but not really, it doesn't represent most of the country just an extreme few. We just have let that extreme take power but are slowly taking it back.

You can morality without religion.

Morality is subjective. I'll bet 100% of the population wants their version of morality forced on others.

This is true, but they do have some universal absolutes that every civilization shares throughout time.
