Guess when I pick my naltrexone up that makes me scumbag too. Using the very profession you went to school for to help people with addiction, how dare them.

How long does someone usually stay on Suboxone before they are clean? I get that it can vary from person to person. These guys have been on it for 3+ years I think.

100%, not a single person in the history of forever has gotten clean without personally wanting to and being completely commited

Someone close to me has been on it for close to 7 years. That's why I was asking about selling it earlier.

this is them being scared to get off of it and the doctor not pushing them to ween off because they are a cash cow.

Many times people are doing well on it and scared for change.

Sometimes it's just easier to just maintain mentally, better than the alternative of being a junky and going back to the life they lead prior.

But no, I bet you don't say shite to none of any other patients because you are a little bitch and a keyboard warrior. So go frick yourself, you fricking piece of shite.

One of the guys is my dad's office managers little brother. She is so proud of him after getting out of jail for the hundredth time for staying clean and working hard, which he is.

At the same time she says he has made,"a bunch of new friends and all sorts of gf", even tho his new gf never stay the night and basically crashes at his house all day with his new friends while he is at work.

I tapered off over three to four months and was at the end taking the smallest sliver I could cut and cut in thirds length wise. People describing it as impossible to get off of are wrong and doing others a disservice in saying so.

Upvote. My younger brother was on this while "getting clean." It didn't work, and I don't know anyone that it has worked for.

Meds can help, but in the end to be free from addiction the person has to fight with everything in them. It's a daily battle, that usually ends when they take their last breath. Some days will be easier than others, but the battle is always there. My brother has been an addict for 20 years and he fights and loses. He'll stay clean for a year and then go off the reservation, he really wants to be clean and does really well for a while. Then over time he eventually gives in to those cravings. It's a very sad situation, but everyone isn't just some piece of trash like OP likes to believe

A big part of me believes this is the guy I am talking about. He basically has zero self control once he gets on dope, last time he got out he did great for six months. Then one day he disappeared for two days, came home grabbed up a bunch of shite to pawn and went on a crime spree for dope money.

Im like that with lexapro I doubt I need it anymore but it literally zapped my craving for narcotics overnight when i started I went from 20mg to now 10mg its freaking 20 dollars a month its stupid to stops plus its an appetite suppressant

I dated a girl that got clean off roxys using this. 6 months she wasn't taking anything. From 6 rox a day to nothing using this u dont have to stay on it but u supposed to taper it. It doesn't work if u dont taper it it is an opiate itself

There are addictive personalities and non addictive ones

This is the thing, and what most folks don't realize because they are non-addictive.

Personally, I have a very addictive personality. Very. I had a cigarette at 13 years old and couldn't wait to get another one. Just one. That shite hooked me so bad. Years later, I'm still trying to quit. That's primarily the reason why I've never smoked a joint or done any other type of illegal drug. I know that I wouldn't be able to quit. At least I don't think I would. Several years ago when my wife was having our second child, I was in the hospital with her. I had a tooth ache come in all of a sudden and I was almost in tears. My mom, who is on pain management due to like 10 back surgeries gave me a Demerol to kill the pain to get through until I could go to the dentist. Holy shite. That was the greatest thing I have ever put in my body. The feeling of euphoria was something I've never experienced. Life was so good. I was happy about everything. For $2 I would have taken a whole bottle full. Thankfully, I didn't get another, and haven't had one since.

Looking back at all of this, it's easy to say that even with an addictive personality I was able to not get hooked. But I knew what I was at that point. I knew that another one would ruin me. Many folks don't know this about themselves. I can easily see how some people would get hooked. And how they wouldn't be able to quit. That being said, I hate a fricking drug head.

ETA:I should say I hate what a person becomes when they are drugged out.

Its about your brain and body chemistry. I drank still do with no problem I dont even really like alcohol honestly. I had smoked a joint before I can put it down. I like it i dont have to have it. I take xanax and dont abuse it I only take when I have panic attacks which im prone to

But stimulants, game over lol. If I put any stimulant in my body im off to the races. How u supposed to know that after u dont smoked weed with no issue drink with no issue.

Honestly the best advice I can give is to mix and match, its easier to get back to normal for me if I do a stimulant with a bebzo it kinda nets the addict out , most people got something that will get them if they try it. My fiancée can do a line of ice and not want another for a year but cannot put weed down to save her life, but she dont smoke as much when she drinks which is good for me lol

Don't believe the bullshite that it's impossible to get off of and don't rely on your prescribing Dr to help you taper. If you dig around enough there are a couple of legit places online that can walk you through a proper taper.
