So what do you propose be done? Should we all just go back to living in caves?
I agree with you, it is ridiculous that so many people do not believe that "climate change" (because, let's face it, the climate hippies had to change the term when we got colder winters than ever a few years ago) is occurring. But to what scale is the question. Is it possible that we are influencing it that much?
And of the factors you listed, how many of those can we actually reduce or eliminate to make a difference? And what about Europe, Russia, and China? Are they doing anything to reduce their impact on the climate?
How much impact can the US have on "climate change" if the rest of the world does not change their ways?

It's kind of ridiculous that so many people still think global warming isn't occurring. I mean the world population has increased like seven fold in the past 300 years. And we are all driving, heating our homes, heating our water, combusting petroleum and creating heat like never before. Of course that shits gonna heat the planet up
Don't forget the urban heat island effect. Highly underrated factor. Concrete gets a LOT hotter than grass during the summer. And all those strip malls and subdivisions are occupying space that was once full of trees.
Green space is a great carbon sink and we have less and less of it.

Right...that's a whole different animal. The demand is there. It's not the evil oil companies...people demand comfort and it requires energy.
But there is a medium between excess usage of energy and living in caves, and if people would do it, we could definitely lessen the impact. But there's not a strong enough incentive for the individual to lessen his energy consumption. So the planet will continue to heat up at record pace.
