"Pumping down the system" is not necessarily equal to evacuating the system.

I had enough slack on my lines and they used a soft copper so I was able to build a frame with 2x4 and use four jacks and pick it right up. Worst case scenario I have a EPA license and all the equipment to repair a leak, but it went well and was easy as hell.

But $500 don't sound bad for the work.
