Yes, us stupid old farts with our love of Pink Floyd, The Who, Joplin, Hendrix, the Beatles....

None of that old shite can even COMPARE to some barely literate moron spewing some lowest-common-denominator E-bonic bullshite thru Auto-tune to mindless sheep that live and die on what Social Media tell them to.....

No problem saying I'm proud to be one of those "get off the lawn" guys, I saw a few minutes and the Halftime show was shite.

It would be nice to go back to a time when music was made with instruments and not computers, and singers actually sang and didn't lip sync and stuff.

I grew up in the 70s so British Invasion and psychedelic rock along with some punk was the soundtrack of my youth, but the parents of my generation said the same thing about the music. While I am not fond of 90+% of today's music if it moves people then it is good music.

As an aside, I wore my father's t-shirt from the '77 Zeppelin tour yesterday. He was a good sport and took me and my friends to a lot of concerts when we were too young to go ourselves and always bought us shirts and bought himself one, I suppose trying to be cool. He never really wore them so I have a treasure trove of vintage concert Ts.

Agreed, we aren't the target demographic, but there are some LEGITIMATELY talented younger entertainers out there....there were none on stage....

And I don't care how old you are , rap sucks donkey....

If they are middle aged then the music was from their era, so op doesn’t make sense.

The melt for halftime shows and the national anthem every year is one of my favorite melts. I don’t understand why people give a shite.

and that's the typical dumb response to that comment, defense mechanism for lamenting lack of talent, imagination, or motivation I suppose

Noted as someone without musical talent.

I bet I can buy you old farts FL studio and for $100k, you couldn't create a song worth dick.

been in a rock/blues band for a few decades, we do some of our own stuff, people even pay to listen to us I don't give a shite about all of that really, I love music and am pretty open minded about it, it's just hard to give the nod to some of the shite put out there these days as actually being music

Um, no....

I'm a musician so I know what the fk I'm talking about.

People are making and selling music made wholly on the hard drive.

and?

that doesn't decrease it's worth or the talent of those using a differne tool

you sound like people who criticized using electric guitars/basses, who used the literal exact same arguments

Your previous post is quite the opposite.

There is a plethora of great music created on computers using stuff like FL studio that requires the same if not much more musical talent. It's not just riffing on a guitar. It's completely understanding music theory and composing songs.

And no, I'm not talking about some dude with an 808 creating beats. The blanket statements of music made on computers is the antithesis of being open minded or having knowledge of music.

I enjoyed the halftime show and it seems as if everyone at the party I attended did also. It was a bit awkward watching Adam trying to dance in certain segments but that was about it. I did notice the dime pieces on the field too. The game itself sucks tbh
