And albeit there were some evil white slave owners, as in every fine detail most were not evil. In fact blacks owned blacks. Yea, betcha most northerns still dont know that. My own great great grandmother owned slaves.

She was black. Married the damn plantation owner. Fancy that.

I appreciate your post. I took Civil War history at LSU. Professor Royster was my teacher, and did an incredible job. I doubt they teach true Civil War History anymore.

I was a history major and took 3 classes with him. He was awesome, but if you were ever late for a class, he’d stare your arse down til you found your seat.

That being said, I’ve been to Lookout Mountain many times. The terrain there is rough. Surprised the Union didn’t have more losses.

I still have no clue how Stevenson fricked that up. We had the best military commanders during the War of Northern Aggression, but we had a lot of shitty guys too particularly in defensive positions.

Dude instigated the war in South Carolina like a bitch. The south was never gonna provoke a fight as they were independent and didnt need the federal frickstick elites of Washington, New York, and money hands to fund their growth. They were doing fine.

The north saw a shift in power and they weren't having it. So they created the boogeyman and went to war against their own countrymen. Burned down cities and destroyed families making a sure their arse would never be a financial threat, thus powerful threat, to the elite functioning at the time.

Always follow the money. There was nothing good about this murderous count.

Yea, he didn’t like chit chat during his lectures. Gave me the evil stare. I toured every Civil War Battle Field I could find while taking that class
