Yes, I actually own a gym and used to be a collegiate strength coach. I was not fat but no where close to where I have been in the past. Im doing a variation of Rippetoes Starting Strength model.
You should know better then.

You'll gain 15 pounds but I guaranfrickingtee that it won't be all muscle. Maybe 2-3 pounds but that's it.

You are 100% delusional

Based on what? Your past experiences?

At the fact that you think you can build any significant amount of muscle and cut in a 90 day window.

Especially if he has a history of working out like he says. If he was new to working out he would make significant gains(not 15 pounds of muscle in 3 months) but a experienced lifter will make very minimal gains in that timeframe.

Dude, you aren't going to gain 15 lbs of lean mass in 90 days. You are just going to get fat.

Is anyone else finding it hard to believe this guy used to be a collegiate strength coach???

He probably re-racked the weights for the soccer team at Tech.

I drink way too much beer during football season to be successful at this. Sounds cool for post-season, though.

I actually like this idea. Might try it out when me and the rest of my fat friends get tired of being fat after football seasons. Seems to happen every year.

Its been fun. Its interesting the different approaches we took. The friend I mentioned earlier that went hardcore paleo also does weight vest walks. He has legit lost 10 lbs already in about 3 weeks(He wasnt really fat, he is 6'2 and had 32% body fat).
BTW I was kind of inspired to do this by 4 Hour Body by Tim Ferris. That is an excellent book on weight management/body hack kind of stuff.(No im not affiliated)

I don't have a problem. I actually think it is a great idea and commend you and your friends for making a positive change in your life. I just find it hard to believe that a former collegiate strength coach would believe he could have a net gain of 15 pounds of lean muscle mass in merely 90 days.

Thats pretty much an offseason block for an athlete. Never seen an athlete put on 20+ lbs of solid weight in an offseason? I have.
Im wasnt trying to be bragging in this thread but you claim I dont know my shite which is false. You say all this having 0 clue how big my frame is or my weight history.
I force myself to eat like a horse...not junk food but a ton of calories. My workouts are extremely hard(squatting 3x a week at high intensities for high volume plus upper body) and I have literally already gained 10 lbs in about 3 weeks. I can easily look in the mirror and tell its not 8 lbs of fat.
I literally own and operate a gym. I dont do anything else. My diet is completely devoted to this challenge. If you think its that far fetched to gain .16/lbs a day of muscle, I dont know what to tell you.
Id like to know your expansive experience in the field and all the literature you have read. Unless you are Tommy Moffit, you are probably just being an internet badass/real life jackass.

Sorry but that is fat!!

32% is really fat and is actually considered obese almost morbidly obese.
and you don't know shite if you think you can put on 15 lbs of muscle in 90 days. and no athlete is doing that either. its impossible period. good luck though.
