Your main concern here is that the hackers will use this information (name, address, email, phone number) for Phishing attacks....to get your password and account information.

Yep. Don't be stupid, OT. Just assume everyone is trying to steal from you, and don't give any personal information to anyone you didn't reach out to yourself. Train your family members.

I don't trust anyone who solicits information from me online, so I'm okay.

As the severity of the hack became more clear in recent days and new information was unearthed, some top executives flew back to New York from Naples, Fla., where many had convened for a leadership conference, according to several people briefed on the matter.

Poor bankers had to leave their posh "leadership conference." What a shame.

And unlike those retailers, JPMorgan has far more sensitive financial information about customers. Investigators in law enforcement remain puzzled by the attack on the bank because there is no evidence that the attackers looted any customer money from accounts.

Yet...

In the filing, JPMorgan said there was no evidence that account information, including passwords or Social Security numbers, were taken.

Because it's nothing more than damage control to calm the masses and mitigate any further loss of account holders.

Yeah. Someone got my credit card a few weeks ago. Tried to spend $90 at KMart in Cali. They actually declined the charge and alerted me. I am guessing after breaches in the last year or two they have upped their fraud alert systems that they have in place. In the past a charge or two would go through and then they would call me. This is the first time I have actually seen them decline a charge.

I have a bank account with them as well as my mortgage. I never, ever use my debit card. Put everything on the CC and pay it off every month. It's not good for just the rewards, it helps because if someone steals a card number it isn't directly impacting my money.
