4 year old proud cut racetrack reject Arab.
he broke her back on a frozen trail. But he was the perfect horse for me. Took care of me when I was young and got more challenging as I got better. Had him til we were 28. Built like a quarter horse, not a tiny Egyptian Arab.

Not meant as a disparaging remark. Just my reaction to the post.

I did not want you to think I was anti Arab or Egyptian just their owners are a bit out there. When you get all wound up about the curtains and such you have lost me. I come from hardbooter stock and knowing an old tobacco barn can make an excellent stock barn as long as looks are not important.

You are talking to a person from Corbin

To be fair, I do not think you can use just any infant.
Kid has to be calm and relaxed around horses.

I used to pleasure ride down there with a dark haired girl who went to UK.

One of the biggest differences between Arab owners and all other horse people IMO. Seems looks, appearance, image is everything to the Arab owner. Everyone else, not so much.
Lots of pageantry and theatre with the Arab folks I’ve been associated with. Maybe my experience was unique.

Then you know we are not a pretentious group of people

No biggie. It all worked out apparently. My dad reacted The same way when I told him I was skydiving. Same here, only different.

Corbin is good people
Almost married a mountain girl from Clay County. She was a bit like Ellie Mae Clampett when it came to critters but no oil money and no cement pond.

Good to know, I have about 20 Arabs, didn’t want to have to challenge you

I remember when they built L'Esprit in the early 80's. Too much for me.
Saddlebred folks can get close at times tho. I see why Shatner likes it.

Like I said I can’t get into it

Mine was just a trail/county fair horse so I’m fine with you saying that.
Cheese, just the rich saddlebred owners. Which we were not. Mine had several screws loose. It’s how we could afford something that talented.

You can tell which tracks you run your trotters at but not your Arabs?
