They do not care and do not lose any sleep over it. To them it's 'normal'

There must be Confederate Monuments in Monroe that caused this

You seriously need to get out more. Birmingham has areas worse than anything Ruston has and north Philly puts them all to shame.

I try not to put local hoods on my list of stuff to see when traveling.

I bet there is one thing they all have in common though.

Ruston, huh? I live in Monroe and wasn't even aware that Ruston had a hood.

But we're just picking on the crime infested black areas, what's that little town just out of Morgan City that used to have all the whorehouses and Vietnamese titty bars? Twenty years ago that was a hell of a rough place.

You should take a drive around the abandoned row houses around Boeing St in east Nola. Last time I was there there was a car on fire just sitting in the middle of street. It was clear no first responders would ever be called on it. Some wild shite happens in that area

Yeah towards the airport. MLK drive. People all over the streets strung out on crack pulling knives and such.

I was an aviation major. Going to the airport was an adventure every time. Lot's of culcha in east Ruston. When I first moved there I made the mistake of stopping at the gas station on the way to the airport.

That gas station on the corner of MLK and Farmerville St is one of the few I won't stop at. Nothing good goes on there. I've gotten gas near that shooting in Monroe several times.
