More power to one if they actually need that kind of power. As others have said, that’s a lot of truck for an occasional trip to Home Depot to pick up some mulch.

No. I only have one company truck and that is mine. It is an F250 but prior to that it was a Chevy. I buy what I like at the time and am not brand loyal.

I like how they sneak the F-450 into the comparisons...

I don't believe GM or Dodge pull down their medium duty trucks into the "pickup" conversation....

Aren’t these trucks considered commercial vehicles by weight? Wouldn’t that make the annual registration renewals expensive?

I don't think you can even get the Silverado or Ram 4500/5500/6500 with a pickup bed from the factory. They are just "trucks". Not pickup trucks.

Of course who knows when it'll arrive with the backlog of super duty's already.

Ford has 40,000 trucks parked because they are missing parts. They are losing a lot of buyers to other brands because they can't procure parts efficiently and made some very stupid sourcing decisions.

Participating in commerce is what makes it a CMV, not just GVWR.

I thought so too, but my coworker was told by DMV that the registration for his new used F250 would be $800 annually because his truck exceeds 10K#. I hope it’s a misunderstanding cause that’s pretty effin expensive for a private pick up truck.

Some states do have some weird shite. But I’ve never personally run into that. I’ve had 250s and had customers with freight liner toters registered as RVs. All my CMV stuff at work is registered in Michigan because they’re usually pretty cool to deal with.
