If not give them a try. They’re great. Just follow the directions on the bottle.

You can get the Microscale decal system (4 bottles for all types of decals and applications) for $24 from Micromark. I've heard good stuff about it.

One of my favorite things to do is paint camouflage patterns.

That’s really nice. Oddly enough I did a very similar camouflage on a JU87 as well. What are the odds?

Very cool camouflage on the Stuka. Could see that being used on the eastern front. Thank you both for all the pics. This may have invigorated some interest for me doing some models. What would y’all suggest for a beginner?

Thanks! And yes, that’s from the Eastern Front. One east tell about mid-war German aircraft is to look at the band around the tail. If it has a white band, then it was from the Med/Africa theater. If it’s Yellow then it’s on the Eastern Front.

My winter Stuka scheme is ‘Immelmann’ - Russian Front 1943/1944.

I’d say pick a plane or vehicle you really like and go fo it. YouTube has tons of videos. Balsa takes a lot more time than plastics, for me.

I’ve seen that particular JU87 before but never in winter camouflage. I like what you did with it.

Thanks. I read somewhere that the pilots and crew had to repaint their planes in the field for winter, at basically a moments notice. They did a quick job and there are photos showing how haphazardly the crew painted the white on. That’s why my white isn’t perfect.

Anyway, the tail band info is something I did not know. Thanks again.

You’re welcome. I’m a walking encyclopedia of mostly useless military & history information.

Very Nice...

I got one of these... It's a toss up.. Whether it's a Metal Model from the 60's.. Or what it was supposed to be... A Map plotting Ship.

Those are really cool. Have no read past the first page but do you ever paint the tanks up like they are muddy? Like with dirt on the tracks and slung up the sides? That would look pretty good.
