So now you get the "try hard" label for actually having the mindset to build an extensive wardrobe. I guess we can't all be wannabe pro golfers.
In the end,m it's whatever floats your boat. But threads like this are usually full of insecure posters who don't have the ability to take chances with certain clothing. "Oh he's wearing a scraf..gasp he must be trendy" or "OH! he's got on dark jeans...that's what sjw's wear". It's all overly dramatic and a bit pathetic.

honestly if you cropped off the guys feet in the picture nobody would have a problem with that outfit at all

I opened this thread expecting to see your bi-annual fashion collection, and all I go was a picture of a gay dude. Disappoint, I am.

That's right a-hole.

No you get the try hard label when you wear blue jeans with a tie that's about 3 inches too short with no belt and your jeans rolled up like Capri pants no socks and dressy loafers with a bright blue crochet scarf. Besides that the outfit is badass.

Personally, I think his jeans are cuffed way to much. Also, I couldn't see myself throwing on a sports coat and tie w/o a belt on belt on.
He also looks like a fairly slim model. Which big lapels don't look so good on imo.

The concept of a "try hard" doesn't really exist in the realm of fashion. And that's basically the difference between someone who is into "fashion" and someone who possibly likes to wear nice things but is very concerned with what others might think and/or just likes to keep it very traditional.

I'm not going to take clothing tips from someone who wears golf attire everywhere they go.

The funny thing is he and his buddies probably judge other golfers by their attire.

First, what the frick is a lapel?
Second, you just said a dude looks slim. What the hell kind of shite are you smokin'?
And finally, who wears a belt on a belt?

Hey man, do you like chicks or dudes, because from this post, I can't quite tell.

I would agree with that. Male models are rarely pictured wearing normal clothes. Most of my clothes are from BB but if you look at a BB magazine I wouldn't step out the house wearing what they are. This would be a little more my style when dressing up.

jackets nice. is he short? i didn't think short dudes cuffed their jeans

In my opinion, you couldn't be more wrong. It does exist in the realm of fashion and its called an affectation. If what you are wearing isn't natural to you, you are trying. If what you are wearing is so unnatural to you that people notice, you are trying to hard.

"Fashion" in and of itself IS an affection. That's exactly my point. Like I was saying, it's what makes "fashion" different than some guy who just likes to dress nice.

I don't have a problem with the look overall. My notes would be that I don't wear ties with jeans. Why are his jeans rolled up? Could it be to show he isn't wearing socks? And wear is his belt?
Its cold enough for a Barbour over a sport coat but not cold enough for socks?
Its formal enough for a tie but casual enough that he doesn't need a belt with his jeans and they are rolled?

Here is my point. Why is he dressed like that? Is it because its what makes him feel comfortable or because he saw someone else do it and copied them?
Please note, I don't care and wouldn't care if I saw him walking around but ill share my opinion here.

I'm guessing the picture was originally posted on one of those blogs where they're basically sponsored by certain clothing manufacturers. In that case, the guy's job would be to display the clothing in an interesting manner, in a way that brings attention to the item.

I'm not wearing that, so it will never be sharp/cool.
Also, OP is a homosexual.
