False. I lived in the BR garden district for 3 years and had some badass St. Patty's there, but Nola trumps BR in ALL parties, including this one. The Irish Channel parade is as wild as they come.

I do have to say the way it trapped you in the middle made for quite a pain. Wasn't a problem if you were just going watch, but if you lived there, it could suck. Hell, once we showed up late and tried to park. They blocked off all the streets, but there were no parking spots. So we were trapped driving around and couldn't get out, but couldn't park 
. Eventually just said eff it and parked illegally.
