What does the OT lounge think of this truck? Problems? Does the moon roof usually leak?

V6 ecoboost
2016 F150 Lariat FX4 4x4 leather heated/cooled seats, spray in bed liner, 39k miles, nav, satellite radio, panoramic moon roof, power sliding rear glass. Immaculate. New truck for pre-owned price. It's a supercab.

It will eventually leak, won't open, or won't close but it's repairable for $1000-2000.

Nice truck.

Enjoy

People see 6cyl and don’t understand the tech behind these engines.
They’re stout and you can get the HP and torque out of them without winding up to 5k rpm.

A good rule of thumb is that you can double the litres to show the equivalent V8.
So a 2.7L is roughly equivalent to a 5.4L 8cyl.

The science behind these engines far exceeds that of the older ones.

The 3.5 Ecoboost is more powerful, quicker, and more efficient than the 5.0. Plus the whistle of the turbos sounds cool. Not as good as aV8 with exhaust though.

I have a Tundra now with 270,000 miles. It's a 2002. I have had zero problems with it. The only comparable to tundra is ford as for as reliabilty. I don't like the newer tundra's.

If this truck is being sold by a Ford dealer. Ask the Salesman for an OASIS report. OASIS = Online Automotive Service Information System. You can see all the service preformed on the truck at Ford since new. If he won't provide you with the report tell him no thanks I'll keep shopping.

Which v6 is it 2.7 or 3.5? I think the 3.5 tows more than the V8 if I'm not mistaken.

I have the 2.7 and it's as quick as my previous 5.7 hemi. It does kind of sound like a sewing machine though. It's fun to drive.

I have this exact same truck Sport package without the moonroof and have a Roll n Lock as well as spray in liner, oh and I have 125k miles.

I have some friends that have the moonroof and they’ve all had issues.

You can get a brand new STX 4x4 for about $35k.

You can probably get a nicely equipped XLT for around $35k when incentives are offered.

I’d try to get it at $30K and walk if he says no.

Check out similar trucks on Carmax.
