Its a great looking BMW! Also finally a true M car and not just a regular vehicle with some fake M badges BMW has been doing recently. Very excited to see these in person. I know some E9x M3 guys that are thinking about trading in their cars for this. Its a little less HP but a lot more TQ then the E9x Ms.
Sure the M6 is king in some things (not handling), but not everyone can afford a $115k+ car.

If you are referring to the M-Sport cars, many manufactures do this be it BMW, Audi, Mercedes, and Lexus to name a few.

I owned and loved the M5, but this M2 will probably be the best handling BMW built to date. Look forward to driving it. It should be the perfect balance of power and handling. Did under 8 minutes at Nurburgring. Impressive for a car under 400 hp. At 7:58 Here is a list of cars that are within three seconds of the BMW M2:

Trust me I know, AMG has their appearance package you can add to almost anything, Lexus has the "F" series you can too but I haven't seen any Audi S or R appearance packages.

Are you referring to the E9x M or this M2? I drive a E92 M3 and I don't find it heavy at all, definitely doesn't drive like it. Its one of the best handling cars you can buy IMO. The only downside to the E9x M I find is it needs more low end TQ, the car doesnt wake up until 4k RPMs.

Was taking about the E90/92/93 cars, "heavy pig" was in comparison to previous abs current M3s. Great car, but the premise went away from small light nimble previous M3s. BMW learned the can get similar power without the weight penalty of the V8 and get back to thier bread and butter I-6 with turbos.
I too had a E92.

If I'm not mistaken...
BMW changed their naming/numbering scheme. All even number cars are 2 door (2, 4 and 6 series) and the odds are now 4 door (3, 5 and 7 series).
This looks like the old 135, with flares and fat wheels with a new version of the inline twin turbo 6. The 135 used the old inline twin turbo which produced about 300 HP. I drove one it and it was quite fast and agile. I can only imagine another 75 HP with suspension upgrades. It's such a small and fairly light car compared to many GT types.
And for the other poster who said black wheels are tacky

There are basically 3 different levels of the interiors. Sensatec (their version of cloth), extended leather, then full leather. The full leather is a good bit more, but really changes the feel of the car, the entire dash is leather, all the pleather parts are swapped out for quality leather. Then you can get into all kinds of spending with the "Individual" interior options.
