2015 Jeep Cherokee started locking itself recently

About the last week or two, this started happening. I get out of the car and walk three steps and it autolocks. It has never done this before, ever. My wife's kia did this out of the factory, but not my jeep. Today, even weirder, I came out of lunch and unlocked my car and it immediately re-locked. On the third try, I had my hand on the door latch before I clicked unlock on the fob just to be able to jerk it open before it relocked.
I already tried googling this and came up with jack shite.
Do any of you OT-Lounge car gurus know of, or have heard of weird shite about this?

Do you have the original battery in the vehicle….if so, I would change it out. Newer vehicles do some mighty weird shite when their battery is going out.

Weird flex for an AI, but ok.

New battery last year, it's on its 3rd battery.

Sounds like your Cherokee has gone off the reservation...

Did you recently move to a bad neighborhood?

Yep, my wife’s ‘19 Traverse kept giving some weird auto traction system going out warning. Then her battery died. After replacing the battery, never got the warning again..

Check the settings on the system computer thingy if you have one. It's probably turned on(default when you changed battery)

Could be the car battery.
Saw you changed the battery, then im not sure. It was the battery on mine when the doors just stopped unlocking.

Negative. Battery (car) was changed 6-8 months ago. Problem didn't start until about a week ago.

I recently had an issue like this where my 2016 Ram would lock/unlock/remote start by itself. Ended up being the key fob button contacts inside came loose and this would happen when the fob was in my pocket. $15 for a replacement rubber piece on Amazon solved the problem. Don’t ask the dealer. They’ll try selling a new programmed key fob for $150+.

Before my battery was replaced last year, my weird result was random stalling. Never once got a low voltage warning on the battery or anything like that. Took it to repair place, their computer reader thing said multiple low voltage warnings, replaced battery, car has ran fine since replacing the battery. It would be nice if a failing battery would have a "failing battery" light instead of just stalling in traffic.
But anyway, that's a different deal.
This new problem isn't related to that, but maybe the guy who said the keyfob battery dying might be the cause? I will change it and see.

It's tired of you driving like an Asian bitch.
Bitch. Give it a break. Or brake.

Could be. My 14 cherokee was doing what yours was doing before just not working completely. I changed the key fob battery and it didnt work. Replaced the main car battery and it worked.
Its a piece of shite car, or at least mine was. Got rid of it.

Have you had to replace the rocker arms on that rig yet?
