I've never been a mustang or Camaro fan, but the 2016 Camaro convertible picture that see floating around is gorgeous.

Based on what I've heard from a pretty experienced driver, the new Mustang GT is as much fun to drive at the track than a new base Vette.

Based on this alone I would vote for the GT being a better driver than the Camaro. Go sit in each to get a feel for interiors.

I would go Mustang.

I feel like an MB would hold its value a bit better relatively speaking. And its base interior is miles ahead of a Mustang or Camaro's. The seats are probably on another level too. I don't know how old y'all are but my parents are looking for some fun but realizing noise level/comfort are a higher priority.

I want a 16 SS but out of your current choices, the 15 GT is the better choice.

Nothing particularly quiet or comfortable about an SLK 55. Friend has one, it's factory exhaust is just about as loud as the race catback I have on my Mustang, and while the seats are very supportive, it's really not the most comfortable car to be in. Not to mention SLKs are definitely chick cars friend that has it is a girl.

I'm not a Mustang fan, but I actually think the new one looks pretty good. Other than that though, everyone and their mother has a Mustang.

Why does this matter? Would you not buy the best vehicle in the class just because there are many of them on the road?

It's very easy to make a Mustang stand out if you're worried about such things. There are hundreds of thousands of modifications you can do that aren't overly expensive to make your car stand out.

Get either a Hellcat or GTR. Leave those other toys alone.

If you are over 6 foot tall the Camaro is very uncomfortable and you can't see anything out if it.

I would wait on this to come out early next year if you want a vert.

2016 Camaro Convertible

Top is completely automatic. You can raise and lower the roof going up to 30 mph just like in the vette. Hard tonneau cover that is flush with the car.

Interior

The 2016 Camaro will have the same motor that is in the vette in it pushing 455hp and 455ft/lb of torque and will weigh at least 200lbs lighter than the 2015. The car is 28% stiffer than the previous gen and is built on the same platform as the ATS, ATS-V, CTS, and CTS-V Cadillacs. In Chevrolet's testing the 2016 SS is outperforming the 2015 1LE, which has a track package on it.

Body style wise the new gen Camaro isn't as radical as the Mustang. This is due to Chevy taking input from Camaro owners and fans. The consensus was to only evolve on the gen 5 body, not reinvent the wheel. Front visibility has been improved greatly by the dash being lowered. As far as rear visibility and blind spots, that is going to be handled by back up cam and blind spot detectors in the side mirrors due to owners and fans not wanting the Camaro look to be compromised. However, looks can be deceiving. The 2016 and the 2015 only share 2 parts in common: The Chevy bowtie and the RS/SS badges.
