Yup. If it's on the driver's side you have to pull the dash. Full day of work if you're doing it yourself. $400 or so if you bring it in. To replace a cheaply made $20 part. Suuuucks. I've had 3 of the 4 go out in my vehicle already.

it is on the passenger side.. I guess my goal now is find a way to gain access to the recirculation door.
If I could get the one panel that covers the passenger-side airbag off, I might have a fighting chance of reaching it. Of course GM made this one panel into a molded piece plastic that looks like an exploded firecracker
