Perfect hiking weather is upper 50s. I don't think we will hit 70 again.
In a perfect world, i would spend every summer in Alaska and escape the Louisiana heat.
My niece and her husband live up there and after they put the kids to bed at night, they went out on a bike ride around midnight since it was still daylight out.

Southerners aren't built for Southwest Montana . I thought I wanted to move there too until I realized what 5° with a 40mph wind behind it felt like.
We've actually got it pretty good.

I would if I could. Still have a kid in school. Luckily I'll still be mid 40s when she graduates HS.
