The New Orleans Police Department says two people were robbed at gunpoint while sitting in City Park early Saturday morning. The incident happened just before 1 a.m. in the 900 block of City Park Avenue. According to the victims, they were sitting on a park bench when they were approached by two unknown black males who demanded their property. When the male replied that he didn’t have anything, one of the men put a gun to the female victim’s back and demanded the male’s cell phone. He complied and the suspects fled the scene.
