Talked to a friend over there. Said the shooter came in trying to get scripts for drugs. Goodier wouldn't give them to him so he shot him.

What would a Urologist have that a guy shoots you over it?

people think I am paranoid or crazy for carrying while in my office but where else do you touch peoples lives and the lives of their families this intimately?

I was replying to the post that stated it was rumored it was over a prescription.
I figured there is nothing special a urologist would prescribe that another doctor couldn't, but we aren't dealing with a sane person here either.

I used to be a rep for the largest drug wholesaler in the US and dealt mainly with independent pharmacies. At least once a week, I would get a frantic call from an owner that they had been robbed. I once had an owner tell me they were held up with a samarai sword.
To me, that's a hell of a lot scarier than a gun.
People on drugs do some crazy shite to fill their habit.

I carry and so does my partner. I keep an extra magazine on me as well. My nurses have access to weapons if they so choose to use them. We've never had any serious issues, but you never know. I did have to physical toss someone out on their arse about 10 years ago. Came in as a new pt demanding narcotics. Made threats and ended up with real pain issues before it was done. There are some nutjobs out there.
