These judges are elected right? If so it will never get better will the genius voter pool

Correct. I think we should still vote on the candidates, but there should be more qualifications and a vetting process to run for judge.

For instance, something like Colorado:

quote:

Colorado judges aren't directly elected; they're appointed through a merit-based system where nominating commissions recommend candidates to the Governor, after which judges serve provisional terms and then face voters in retention elections to stay in office, ensuring selection by qualification, not politics. This process, established by a 1966 constitutional amendment, involves bipartisan commissions selecting top candidates, the Governor appointing from that list, and then voters deciding on retention based on performance evaluations.

That's an AI summary, but shows there are things that can be done to ensure qualified candidates run.

What does someone like that do for a job after something like this occurs?

Not sure what kind of job you could even get due to being dismissed from a seat as a judge
I am sure there are are plenty of firms still happy to take her on of counsel.

Lost in all this is the fact that she is still able to practice law. Simply removed from the bench.

Until the Johnson cabal is jettisoned, the 19th will continue to be a shitshow.

If we could be honest, we could admit that they have inferior intellect. But, the truth would be…
