Microwaves, less blue collar/more white collar jobs, video games and cable TV.

People were eating irregularly, sedentary work environments and less outside activities.

Any Chalmette baws up in here?

If you grew up in Chalmette in the ‘70s, McDougal’s (t-shirt shop) in Village Square was legendary. There were the obligatory Corvette and Bruce Lee shirts, but there was one corner of the store that had the naughty stuff. Shirts like “The bare facts of tennis” with naked ladies playing tennis, or “The bare facts of bicycling” with naked ladies on bicycles. As a 10 yr. old, we’d make our weekly pilgrimage on our bikes to McDougal’s to browse the shirts.

I was in the 70’s, and I saw maybe one of those tee shirts. I have to call BS on most of this. Only one I clearly remember is the I choked Linda Lovelace one.
