Here’s the plan. Demolish the Washington street exit so one of the busiest interstates in the country doesn’t reduce down to ONE frickING LANE!
My god how hard is that?
I'm glad somebody here agrees with me. We're spending $190 mil. to widen an area that rarely gets backed up and is kinda bumpy but yet we have a spot in BR that causes 1 hour + delays twice a day 5 days a week that we continue to ignore.

Use that $190 mil to go towards fixing the BR traffic issue.
would cost substantially more than 190MM to fix that shite show

There are 3 phases to the project. Phases 1 and 3 are in construction right now. When all 3 are complete, the 3 lanes on I10 East Bound will end at the Henderson exit.

Don't know anything about this project, but the fact that I-10 between New Orleans and Baton Rouge is not 3 lanes in each direction in its entirety is mind boggling. Gotta love Louisiana.

You can bet your paycheck that the desperately needed widening project in Baton Rouge will be lower priority than the new Kenner interchange.

I thought interstates were funded by the fed?

What’s the Kenner interchange?

They decided to build a new MSY terminal on the other side of the airport, so the state is paying to build an interchange, access road, and flyover for westbound I-10 to easily access the airport.
