18 YO dies of meningitis in CA

ETA: This was in 2014.

After reading the article, I saw that there is a vaccine for that strain, and although the girl rec'd some, she did not receive that particular vaccine. Article states the CDC, and doctors do not recommend that particular vaccine, only on a per case basis.

Why would the vaccine not be recommended in all cases, for everyone?

I got meningitis the same year and it was very serious and I'm lucky they did the spinal tap to catch it.

Legit could've been me?
