This is from the YouTube channel, The Great War, which has been doing videos on World War I since 2014. I highly recommend checking their channel out. Anyways...for the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Berlin, they are doing a documentary on the channel that will be 100% crowd funded. As of yesterday or the day before, they met their fundraising goal and will be able to release the documentary come April of next year. But you can still donate money to allow for the documentary to be longer and more detailed.

I'm really looking forward to this because these guys are based in Berlin and will be able to show us in the documentary where a lot of these important events took place within the city. It really blows my mind that, in a 16 day battle, more than a million people were killed. Berlin has to rank up there as the most intense battle in military history.

Anyways...here's the announcement trailer they put out two weeks ago laying out what they plan on doing and who all is involved in the project:

I like Indy's material.

It's so odd that he can be that comfortable in front of the camera yet be so socially awkward

Thank you for the heads up 87! I’ll definitely check this out. If you have Amazon Prime check out a movie “Fortress Of War”. It’s about the true story of The Red Army defense of Brest Fortress and the first battle of Operation Barbarossa. I think you’ll like it.

I spent three days in Berlin last summer.

I can report that the buildings are in much better shape now.

Hotel Adlon Kempinski for the win.

There are nicer there, but there are not more nicely located there.

Berlin is a wonderful city to visit.

Looking forward to checking it out, thanks for the tip.

Another good one to check out about what's left of the German High Command is the movie "Downfall." It's been parodied so damned much here in the States over the years, that some people might not take it seriously, but it really is an awesome historical pretty accurate account based on eyewitness interviews.

The final battle of Berlin was the Soviets swinging a big dick raping and killing whoever they wanted and Hitler knew his shite was up and offed himself

The last men standing in Berlin were foreign SS volunteers, mostly Belgians and Swedes, with no place to go. Any survivors would have been summarily shot by the Russians or sent back to their own countries to be hanged, so they fought to the death.
