Because calling it a theatrical performance doesn’t take away from what it is. It’s a séance regardless of what the business or performers say. The disclaimer by the business is a deceptive statement.
A brick isn’t an actual hammer but it can be used to drive a nail. Therefore it’s still a hammer in practice.
What I’m trying to convey is that it doesn’t matter what is said on theatrical performance, it’s still a seance. Folks should be hesitant to engage in it and not do it.
The risk is greater than what is conveyed in the “disclaimer”. That’s deceptive and that’s what’s bothering folks. It’s a lie.
