As they should.

I completely understand using deadly force if someone is forcefully kicking the door. If I’m the homeowner, my first assumption is that it’s a home invasion.

But if they’re just knocking, then the homeowner has some explaining to do.

Sounds like the kids had being doing this at the house several times throughout the night. They also upgraded charges to capital murder.
