Say what you want but I have seen engineering companies milk jobs of this size, far more than I've seen them do what needs to be done and carry on. A job on this level and high profile will be milked by big time engineering companies.

So the US Government can spend billions on one fighter plane but they can't find a way to help this community get their water situation fixed in a timely manner?
The Senate and House approved 120-270 million dollars to address this water issue in Flint around the end of 2016 I believe.

As a resident of Corpus Christi, another city with several water issues over the past year, I can assume that much of the problem is because of screwy leadership in city hall. I know it seems easy to blame them, but when you have idiots making decisions for the entire city, this is what happens.
Add in the economic situation of Flint, and it exacerbates the problem.
I think the EPA and DEQ are worthy of much blame. They knew and did not tell the public.
Baton Rouge currently has lead service lines. I wonder what will happen once we have to switch to the river water.

That being said, the majority of southern states deserve the hell they received (looking at your Florida).

Which makes sense why the whole situation is fricked up, flint officials expect the total
Cost to be close to 1 billion by the time it's all said and done. Flint water bills, which are largely being refused to pay and over half of the citizens live in poverty, are expected to double to help pay for the issue. It's like a giant circle of failure

You want a big engineering firm. They carry big insurance and have big pockets when something goes wrong. Joe Blow P.E. is going to be in over their heads. I've worked on consent decree projects and know the level of management needed.
Plus all that Trump stuff about jobs. These projects make crapload of jobs.
