Nothing has been mention in this thread that has anything to do with the Saints problem. I wish they did, because I feel very strongly now that my worst nightmare has come true. I bought all the hype that the players were focus and that we had a system in place that could run without our head coach, a six game suspension of our assistant head coach, playing the first six games with an interim-interim head coach and a eight game suspension of our general manager. This together with the disruption of losing two team leaders regardless of their present playing ability, a sports press that has condemn the Saints relentlessly, although dozens of former (non-Saints) players have stated the Saints were doing what ever team does (not saying it’s right, but the Saints have gone from one of the most loved teams in the NFL to the most hated).

All the talks about we’re so good that will have at least a 10 win season was totally ignoring reality. I am guilty of this. I don’t know what his motive was or if he had a motive or whatever, but when Roger Goodell handed the Saints their punishment this summer he destroyed the team. I hope it’s only for a year, but I’m afraid it will be much longer.

We’re f*cked.

Quoted for posterity. Do not jump back on the bandwagon when we are 10-6 and make the playoffs. Thanks.

I've been a Saints fan since 1967 and clearly remember the days of drinking warm Dixie beer in old Tulane stadium. I don't jump off and on the bandwagon. I'm a Saints fan and will attend ever game, but I'm not stupid or blinded by emotions.

Trust me, we're f*ck.

Uh huh.

If you weren't blinded by emotions, you wouldn't be convinced of any future outcome.

You know despair and anger are emotions right?

Sit Sed Ellis.

I know everyone will disagree with me because they hate him(Ellis) but I thought he played the run pretty well, he made a lot of tackles. On passing downs I'd like to see someone else out there in his place though. Akiem Hicks maybe? I'd like to see Jordan line up inside sometimes. We need guys who can collapse the pocket, even if its just a little

Did anyone notice any stunts by the D-line? I can't remember any off the top of my head.

I believe the lifting of the suspensions may have had adverse affects on the team. You know more of a hey we've already won we got our boys back they don't stand a chance. That kind of crap could have busted our bubble a little early.

More screen passes. They would have come in handy last week especially with all the long yardage 3rd downs.

One Call

Only use Thomas and Sproles at RB. No one else should be taking touches away from these 2.

After last week, I think I deserve more than one call.

Activate and play Hicks.

Run the ball more and use screens if the defense brings pressure.

Shorter passing game to start off with to develop a rythem and lure the defense up to burn them deep later.

What a novel fricking concept. Why the hell don't they do what they do best! It was driving me crazy last weekend.

I feel it will go back to that this weekend. I have too much confidence in this team than to speak doom and gloom.

Here's to a great game, no injuries, and a Saints stomping of the Panthers.

When you're behind by more than a Touchdown, (which was the case the majority of the game) you cannot keep running the ball. Too much time is used.
How about holding the opposing Offense without a score in a couple of their first half possessions?
