Cool insult too bad I'm not one. You're defending Atlanta, the Falcons, and the radio show, so I really have no respect for you.

Nice to see Rosenthal give a shout out to Gleason's foundation at the end. Classy move.

So then you're below the average for your age?

Atlanta radio station suspends hosts after segment poked fun at Steve Gleason
Posted on 6/17/13 at 1:31 pm to tgrbaitn08
quote:
The hosts of Mayhem in the AM – Steak Shapiro, Chris Dimino and Nick Cellini – all have been suspended indefinitely, the station’s General Manager Rick Mack said.
“We deeply regret the comments made by Mayhem in the AM this morning on 790 The Zone regarding former New Orleans Saints player Steve Gleason,” Mack said in a statement posted on the station’s website. “790 The Zone, Lincoln Financial Media, our sponsors and partners in way endorse or support the unfortunate and offensive commentary concerning Mr. Gleason this morning.
“The members of the show involved with this incident have been suspended indefinitely pending further management review of their actions.”
The story caught fire after a thread was started on LSU fan message board TigerDroppings.com decrying the segment.

You cannot draw distinctions between platforms. This guys job is to be entertaining and funny. Same as most morning drive jockeys and the same as the creator Of family guy.
This wasn't a bible study show
That's fine. And people have the right to attach to something and make it an agenda. If those actions result in those guys losing their jobs, then that is a consequence of an action. Apparently, people didn't attach to the Family Guy thing or whatever you're talking about. But they did this. And now there are consequences. You can't have it both ways.

Again, this situation needs to be turned into more exposure and awareness for ALS.
The worst thing that could happen with this is it turn into a pissing match between fan bases.
It isnt about football.
I understand shock jocks are all about being risque and edgy, but for fricks sake, you have to have some kind of filter before you allow a segment like that to be aired.

Says the person who's defending a tasteless joke only a middle schooler can rationalize

The poster – JW – said the hosts would then ask “Gleason” questions and have him respond with knock-knock jokes while at one point, wondering whether he would be alive on Thursday.

You have nothing to apologize for. I for one don't blame Falcons fans or the organization for the action of these asshats.

Yup
Freedom of speech warrants freedom of action. They had a right to say what they did just like we have a right to say they are D-bags.
I think it all worked out just fine
