He was lying on the table when the doctor was looking at his knee. Looked to have tears in his eyes, maybe from pain or maybe from emotion. He banged the back of his head on table a few times, tore off his gloves and threw them. His season is over.

Lot of stupid in here. Rather a young safety? And Sunseri is not? Hit his ceiling before his second year got started? Wasn't a good player? He was getting cut even though he was second string (one of the top four safeties)?

You guys don't know football I guess?

Yeah, Sunseri is a valuable football player on this team.
That sucks for him if he is done.

The negativity is ridiculous.
I have multiple bookmarked post of people saying that he would not even make the team last year.
I highly doubt it has anything to do with the school he went to though...

Yeah, Sunseri is a guy I like alot. Will be a good special team player in future and someone who knows where to be and has good instincts. Not the most athletic player but good enough to be on an NFL roster. He definitely has some upside and is a solid backup safety. Hopefully he will rebound next year and be back in the mix.

Yeah the only "good" thing about this is we have depth at safety.

In your opinion, how many safeties are we keeping? 5 is most likely, IMO.

Byrd, Vaccaro, Bush are no brainers. Warren is very likely to make the team as well. So, the question is do you like Kenny Phillips or Sunseri? I don't think it's crazy to think Sunseri wasn't making this team.

Sunseri was working ahead of Warren so.....

And they play different spots any way. If it got down to one of them to the fifth spot it would go to the more important special teams guy, which is by far Sunseri.

It was more a competition between Warren and Phillips for backup FS.

Are y'all really surprised about the negativity on Sunseri? He played for Alabama. This is an LSU website with a bunch of homers. I'm an LSU alumni so I can call that shite out.

It sucks for the kid. He was one of the only productive picks in that draft. Now all we have left is Coleman and he wasn't even drafted.

Was Cooks not picked in that draft? It's like damn everyone forgot Cooks came from that draft.

Powell had looked decent at times and SJB is legitimately starting to come on. So jury is still out. And it's not like Fortt busted out because of talent. Every now and then a guy can trick you into thinking he's a good kid.

While this is true that says more about how incredibly poorly we drafted. Sunseri's production is a couple special teams tackles.

It's nice that's he's not unplayable dogshit anymore but they don't deserve any kudos for this pick just yet.

So far he looks like a guy who can be on the back of your roster a few seasons then be gone and forgotten the second he leaves.

Yeah but it's kinda their jobs to not be wasting picks and that's a mid round pick flushed down the toilet immediately. Also he's probably not any good either since two other teams dispatched just as quickly.

Stop being a baby. I specifically didn't mention Cooks and just him doesn't make it a good draft.

But he also keeps it from being a bad draft. And writing of SJB before he even starts his second year is stupid. Everyone that knows wtf they are talking about says give a player 3 years if they show progress.

But I forgot everyone is a star or bust based on year one.

If we had a 1st rounder and didn't pick again until the 4th or 5th maybe.

There a difference between writing him off and saying he hasn't lived up to his draft selection, which he clearly hasn't. The book is still out on him but like I said just because he's no longer unplayable garbage doesn't mean the pick was good now.
Rooks and Fortt books already closed on them. Sunseri and Powell, they aren't showing signs of even being rotational players yet.

It's the beginning of year 2 and SJB looks better but still not good and Powell and Sunseri still look like they wouldn't get on the field anywhere but special teams.
