Deuce was the primary back for years. Mark has had to split carries with two and three backs ever year since his rookie year. The fact that he almost has the records despite that is pretty impressive.

We drafted Ricky Williams (giving up almost as many picks as it took to get Davenport)

Ingram, has 6 more yards dragging a frickin' Buc linebacker to the end zone, but Duece was on the loose!!

Mark Ingram: 8 years 103 games 1293 carries, 5881 yards, 4.5 YPC, 49 TDs 223 receptions, 1564 yards, 7.0 AVG, 5 TDs 13 fumbles, 9 lost

Deuce McAllister: 8 years 97 games 1429 carries, 6096 yards, 4.3 YPC, 49 TDs 234 receptions, 1720 yards, 7.4 AVG, 5 TDs 19 fumbles, 13 lost

So their stats are basically even and Duece’s fumble numbers are the only thing that stands out, he had 5 more than Ingram at this point. Ingram actually has 14 fumbles with 10 lost.
