During plays they'll pipe in their first ranked against the pass defense.

There was no music playing during the plays. There also isn't crowd noise piped in. The design of the stadium does help increase the noise though, but it all comes from the fans. The NFL investigates these things and Seattle has never been found guilty of it once.

Thomas Morestead tweeted after the first game that sound was piped in DURING plays the first game.

You are allowed to play music until 20 seconds left on the play clock, which is what Seattle (and probably every other stadium) does. Now the placement of the speakers on the sideline might be unique. New Orleans moved speakers to the sidelines too during the Carolina game this year.

My understanding is that they mic'd crowd noise and had it recirculate through the amped up PA system

They cheat across the board- from PED's to piping in crowd noise

The Saints need to have someone disable the field level speakers prior to kickoff.
