That question can be asked about several players on our roster, but in Chase's case it's measurables.

Why didn't teams take a chance on John Randle?
It just happens sometimes. Thomas and Kevin Reddick were both mid-round draft prospects coming into the draft process that slid for whatever reason.

The guys on 870 AM were talking about him, and some site had him ranked in the top 50 (or something close) out of everybody from the draft.

Yeah and Terrell Owens played at UT-Chattanooga and still got drafted in the 3rd round.
