Why do we run RPO plays with Brees? Ain't like he is going to run it!

That 4th an goal play that got squash just one example. Drew is not going to keep and run with it. If I'm a linebacker I eat that shite up :((

That’s not an RPO.

Why do so many people think a RPO automatically means the qb runs the ball? It's a phenomenon I see quite frequently. Just no football IQ?

Jon Gruden spent 2 years yelling RPO every play on MNF so now everyone thinks they are a next level offensive guru.

That play was not a draw

A draw is a delay handoff
That wasn't a delay

It was quick sweep out the shotgun. Nothing more.

An RPO is not what you think it is.

Ok...when the offense is in a shotgun the rb is next to Qb. The ball is snapped and QB goes to the rb with the ball or pulls out to throw. That's not a RPO?

Now you want to talk about throwing?

Your title says “ain’t like he’s gonna run it”

And none of the WRs ran routes. It was a run play

You cant get out of this one man. I was a little harsh on my comment saying you didn't have any football IQ. Its not the end of the world that you were confused on what exactly an RPO was.

That is... so why would the QB need to be a threat to run in that play?
