Why did the Saints get rid of Malcom Jenkins?

From what I see he's awesome and to hear the announcers fawn all over him, he's one of the best DB's in the league. Why, huh, why???

He did not do well towards the end, kinda like KV. But the coaches had something to do with this obviously since his success since leaving.

Well he played more free safety here & not the in the box strong safety where he is thriving at in Philly. If he had played more of the KV role while here, I don't think the Saints let him go in free agency. His strengths weren't used properly with the Saints.

We have the right coaches now.
Another lights out 1st and 3rd rd pick and the Saints get the #1 seed if Brees signs a 4 yr. 60 mil. Or less deal.

Didn’t use him correctly. They tried to make him a Roaming free safety that covers everything deep.

I don't doubt you are right but I've got to believe it was coaching and defensive play calling because he has been great for the Eagles.

No, that was on all on the defensive play call. Gregg Williams blitzed & got burned. You can't expect Jenkins to cover Vernon Davis one on one in that situation. I guess people like you forget that Davis was/is a freak athlete. 250+ lbs who ran 4.44 at the combine.
