I never understood the want in him and being satisfied with him as the qb. Terrible accuracy, can’t really run well, talks like an idiot. Etc… Did people really think he would be good?

Not really. It's not untrue and should be taken into account. Guy has been memed his entire career for being a moron. Biggest cornball in the league and that's hard to do with Russell Wilson having a much larger platform. You simply can't take him seriously.

Who freaking cares. He can either play the game or not. He cant. Stick to football. shite like whats in the op rubs people the wrong way. It makes it seem like there are other motives at hand. Jameis is fricking terrible. Stick to that.

Nope.

He's in the business of being a professional quarterback and a lot more goes into that than simply being on the field. Fact of the matter is that he not only sucks on the field, but he sucks in all other facets that come with being a quarterback also.

Agreed, JW is terrible just as he was at Tampa. JW's personal life is not important at this time, Cleveland's QB Deshaun Watson is a scumbag but no one can say he cannot play.

I’m bummed that he/saints everything has started out this way this season. I actually had high hopes for him after what little we saw of him last season.

He never had to be amazing, just above average and able to utilize the tools around him.

Sure it is.

The league has decided to become preachy and tell everyone how to live.

Why doesn't it apply to sexual assault?

Why aren't we preaching against having multiple babies by multiple women out of wedlock?

Why don't we put microphones on the field and ban for life anyone using derogatory language?

NFL needs to go full retard or leave it alone.

What a moronic take. The only criteria is can he play QB. The biggest goofball in football when he was in the league was Terry Bradshaw. He also won 4 superbowls.

If he played like Jameis Winston the Heisman Trophy winner did, we wouldn't be having this conversation. Well, we might but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.

And that is what people were hoping for, that he would be able to eliminate the poor decision making and live up to his potential here in NOLA. Looks like that may not be in the cards. I'd like to see Dalton start TBH. Jameis' games since the spinal fractures seems to have devolved.

Nope. The criteria includes being the face of the franchise and a representative of the region.

It's not fair, but it's true. Everyone knows playing quarterback is not like playing other positions. There's way more to it and coaches will tell you this.

Steve Sarkisian put it best: You chose the quarterback position, the position didn't choose you.

You either step up and be that guy or you don't.

He wasn't that great to begin with. Somehow the coaching staff thinks he will be better with a fractured back

I would kill for last year Jameis right about now. How did this guy every throw for 5000 yards?

There is no other motive. Our qb should be able to speak intelligently to the game, he can’t. It’s as simple as that.

Lamar Jackson is country as biscuits and gravy.

I'd take his mumbling arse in a second.

When Payton was here it made sense that he could potentially rehab him and turn him into a top tier QB.

It’s funny that you are insinuating some racist undertones for the argument against Jameis yet when unintelligent quarterbacks are brought up, you instantly name another black QB. Sounds a little hypocritical to me.

The way people pumped him was incredible... most of his TDs last year came in the first game against GB, 5 of them to be exact. After that he was pretty average but had Payton to scheme so it masked his true nature. This guy is obsessed with throwing the deep ball to Olave in double coverage.
