The truth is that if the backup plays more than 2 games then the season is probably over regardless.

Well, think about how many starters have been injured league wide the last 2 years.

I'd argue the exact opposite.

For playoff teams you are correct.

like Joe Flacco taking the Browns to the playoffs? Fresh off the couch and playing much better than Watson.

you think the Bengals don't make the playoffs if Joe Burrow doesn't get hurt?

you think the Jets are 7-10 team if Aaron Rodgers didn't just play one series?

you think the Vikings finish at 7-10 if Cousins doesn't tear his Achilles?

Stefanski won Coach of the Year for a reason.

There is really no reason for Nathan Peterman to be on an NFL roster and i will never feel good about this lol.

He'd be struggling to make an XFL/USFL/AFL or whatever it is these days

that's right. He shouldn't have any fricking room on this team if we are led to believe that the Saints FO wants to keep up its winning ways.

I don't appreciate being lied to to by an a-hole GM who is living off of his past.

Hoping he plays at least half so I can laugh before DA gets fired. I rather they draft a QB in 7th round over him.lol

Agreed, when the starter sucks shite it doesn’t matter who’s sitting behind him.

So it is ok to sign someone who is arguably not even qualified to be on the field?

Truth

This is not only a QB league

This is a top 10 to top 5 QB league

I can remember when teams had 3 QB’s on their rosters

If you’re down to your 3rd string QB, you can forget about any chance at all

Same as 2nd string QBs

It will be a miracle if we even get to the SuperBowl

With Carr (and I like him)

Thank you sean payton and Mickey Loomis

This organization may never win a SuperBowl again.

Certainly not in the foreseeable future

Carr is a fricking back up, we don’t have a starter

They wanted Flacco but he got scooped up. If Carr goes down I am starting #7 and saying frick it.

Seems ol’ crab legs saw meaningful snaps last year due to the OL’s inability to keep Carr safe.

We should care mightily who the backup is.

2 games is a big deal. Keep in mind that we tied with Tampa for the best record in the South, but lost due to tiebreakers. Should Carr to go down for a few games, it becomes vital that we have a capable backup

If he's down 1 game, I'd go with Hill. Anything more than 1 game, I'm rolling with Haener and keeping Hill in his normal role...maybe a few more under center snaps.

Also have to keep in mind that part of the reason for bringing in a guy like Peterman is because you need extra arms in the offseason. You can't have Carr & Haener taking every snap.

Peterman is the backup that gives you best chance at the #1 pick
