One that is likely to come true, so exclude likely tag candidates such as Ansah, Lawrence, Bell, Robinson, Fuller, Watkins, Richardson, etc...

I think we need upgrades at: MLB, TE, #2 DE, #2 WR and CB depth. So I'll throw out a few, not necessarily in order of need but likelihood we could/should obtain.

1a. Demario Davis or;
1b. Jon Bostic
2. Austin Seferian-Jenkins
3. Resign Okafor, if not Trent Murphy or both...
4. Vontae Davis (as an inexpensive depth option)
5. Jarvis Landry

Get the beans out and start counting Mickey!

I do agree with the first 3 of MLB, TE, #2 DE. I think more so TE is one thing that the offense really needs. I would love to see Austin Seferian-Jenkins in this offense.
As for as Jon Bostic goes... no way. The most games he has played in a season is 14. He's really injury prone and coming off some season ending knee injury. Being injury prone means the Saints will probably sign him though.....

on another note

#2 CB
.... no way that is anywhere near a need. Crawley could have been a #1 on several teams last year.

I don't think CB is a high need, just added to the end of the list... Would like to see some depth behind Latt, Crawley and Breaux(if he comes back).

So you're right, not #2CB, but CB in general with our history of that position getting injured....

Didn't realize Demario Davis was a FA. I like when the Saints sign FA LB from the Jets..... recent history of that has turned out pretty good. Sign him up

I'd be shocked if he's franchised. 9 of his 12 sacks this season came in 3 games, and he only had 2 sacks last season.

I really wanted Ansah but his sacks last year largely came from 3 big games against inferior opponents and he had the sucky 2016 on top of the age question. Doesn't sound like a guy you break the bank for.

I seriously doubt we sign a F.A. TE at this point. After we didn't cut Fleener...that was basically the writing on the wall imo.

If we did sign a TE...that would be a shite load of money tied into the TE position (we're already top 5 in combined salaries at the TE position with Fleener/Hill/Hooman). Fleener at 8.0 mil, Hill at almost 3.0 mil, then new guy's salary would be way too much money imo. Stranger things have happened, but I'm assuming we draft a TE.

Good news is that we'll save 5.8 mil next year if & when Fleener is cut (even more if it's a post-June 1st cut). We should be able to afford any UFA TE that we want in 2019.

Anyone that says someone besides Ezekiel Ansah doesn't understand football.

A legit #2 opposite Michael Thomas would be awesome. Landry could fill that role quite nicely. As far as TE, this draft seems loaded. I'd try to find a guy to fill the role there.

I'm better resigning Okafor than Ansah.

Ansah will cost at least double and Behind Lawrence and Ansah Okafor is the third best DE on the market this year.

Think our biggest flaw last year was a move the chains possession receiver that can take some heat off of MT. Snead was supposed to be that but fell off a cliff.

I wanted Sheldon Richardson badly. But he will likely get tagged.

Honestly, after we didn’t cut Fleener I see us trading into the 2nd and getting a TE. I wanted Trey Burton but I doubt that happens now. Dream FA for me now, considering we resign Drew and Vaccaro

1. Paul Richardson/Jordan Matthews
2. Dontari Poe/ Star Lotulelei
3. Resign Okafor
4. Nigel Bradham (possible since either Richardson or Matthews might not collect a ton. Neither will Star or Poe since they had meh years. Our only big contracts would be Brees and Vaccaro, allowing us to get Bradham.)

As for the draft, I’d like another LB. Rahsaan Evans from Bama is going to be a stud. We need him. Or, if you’re feeling ballsy, ship that first round pick to the Chiefs for Marcus Peters who they supposedly want to get rid of
